Kora started with a very simple, common problem:

Most mats don't cut it.

We’re two busy friends. We work normal jobs. We’re not professional athletes and we’re not waking up at 5am chasing personal records. But we do love moving.

We’ve tried Pilates. Yoga. HIIT. Random studio classes our partners dragged us to. New gyms our friends convinced us to try.

But every single time, once you’re on the floor, it’s the same thing - the mat doesn't cut it.

Too thin.
Too hard.
No support.
No flexibility.

One of us carries more weight than average, so knees, elbows and wrists take real pressure during planks, pushups, and floor work. The other has ongoing ACL issues, so being careless with knee support just isn’t an option.

We didn’t need something fancy.
We needed something smarter.

A mat that could fold.
A mat that could elevate your hands for planks.
A mat that could double up for extra cushioning.
A mat you could sit on.
A mat you could step on.
A mat that adapts instead of forcing you to adapt.

So we made Kora.

It’s not about being extreme, it’s about being comfortable enough to actually keep going.
